Once upon a time there was a society that could live without borders. Who could hug each other when they met. Who didn't have to think about a trip to grandma and grandpa. Who didn't have to open the newspaper in the morning without fear. This fairy tale sounds like a long time ago and like music to your ears, doesn't it? I look back on 2020, the year that taught us a lesson. And for dessert a recipe Chia pudding with cranberry compote.

Throwback to 1999...
It's been less than a year since this was our reality and now it seems so far away because of corona. The year 2020 feels a bit like the year 2000. Then we were anxiously waiting if everything would go well, if all systems could handle the transition from 1999 to 2000. Now it turns out that the world cannot handle the year 2020. Sounds very tough, but we have also learned a lot of wise and beautiful lessons. Time to pay attention the little things sparkle.
2020 The year that taught us a lesson and put our feet on the ground.
In this year, health took on a whole different meaning. From exercising a little and eating some vegetables to even the most healthy people who suddenly became ill with a virus. This year showed us more than ever that health is not only related to food and exercise. We all noticed the consequences of hardly going outside anymore, stress of powerlessness and boredom. That this directly affected us. But what the year also teaches us is that we don't have to give up.
The big lesson was in the little things.
We have learned that we can consider ourselves happy with very little: a smile from a child, a fresh walk or a glass of wine by the fireplace. Health and happiness only have to consist of something very simple. Where we previously felt that we had to be in top gear and otherwise feel guilty, we now spend evenings at the dining table having good conversations.
Even Christmas will be small-scale, intimate and special. But that does not necessarily make it less than previous years. Make it unforgettable. So: less bitter, more glitter. Suddenly the little moments are important again. And the big one? They'll just have to wait until sometime in 2021!

To start Christmas healthy and fun, I have a festive Chia pudding with cranberry compote. for the breakfast table in front of you!
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
