And so it was suddenly Friday again and so time for a delicious cocktail! We are in the summer mood and are therefore also going to make a nice sparkling cocktail. This strawberry cherry vodka smash is nice and fresh and fruity. Now I used vodka for this drink, but if you are more of a gin drinker, you can just make it with gin, no problem. I would like to pour the pink tonic because it tastes slightly different from regular tonic.

Strawberry cherry vodka smash – Summery cocktail with fruit and pink tonic
A cocktail like this is made that way! Smashing the cherries and strawberries is a job of nothing. Put on gloves or use a cherry stoner to avoid staining your hands.

Cherries are delicious to eat, but sometimes they are not yet in season or sold out. Fortunately, you can find an alternative in the freezer section of your supermarket. There are bags of frozen cherries that you can use straight away. You can also opt for a mix of summer fruits, such as strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

These fruits are also very tasty and healthy. If you want to use them for a recipe, you must first thaw them in a bowl. You can then crush them with a pestle into a puree or a sauce.
