All detox week smoothies
Always handy when someone has an overview of something. It's just a little easier to read and that makes it just a bit clearer. Several times I was asked what was in the smoothies I made for the detox week. Hence this blog of all detox week smoothies. Everything at a glance in a nice overview. Consider doing it yourself for a week look no further! Before this I was not a smoothie person at all, the thickness of the juice and the vegetables…. But now I'm completely over and I will definitely make a fresh smoothie more often.
This week we will be making “green smoothies”, which are healthy smoothies that are not always necessarily green in color. For example, it is about a mix of fruits and vegetables. You also do in this smoothies no dairy products such as yogurt. You first choose water, green tea, or coconut water. Furthermore, green leafy vegetables and 1 or two pieces of fruit must also be included. To detox, add a piece of ginger, juice of half a lemon or parsley. And lastly for the fiber you can put some chia seeds, nuts in it.
Day 1
- 150 ml coconut water
- 1 small avocado
- 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
- 150 grams of pineapple
- 3 handfuls of spinach
- juice of half a lemon
Day 2
- 200 ml water
- 200 grams mango
- 3 handfuls of kale
- 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
- 8 mint leaves
- juice of half a lemon
Day 3
- 150 ml water
- juice of half a lemon
- 1 kiwi
- 150 grams blackberries
- 3 handfuls of watercress
- 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
- 8 mint leaves
Day 4
- 150 ml water
- 150 grams of raspberries
- 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
- 2 stalks celery
- 8 mint leaves
- 2 handfuls of watercress
- juice of half a lemon
Day 5
- 150 ml water
- 1 kiwi
- juice of half a lemon
- 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
- 8 basil leaves
- half cucumber
- 150 grams of pomegranate seeds
- 2 handfuls of iceberg lettuce
Day 6
- 150 ml green tea
- 150 grams blueberries
- 4 lemon balm leaves (mint type)
- 10 leaves of cavolo nero (kale)
- juice of half a lemon
- 1/2 avocado
- 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
Day 7
- 150 ml green tea
- 3 hands spinach
- juice of half a lemon
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
- 1 kiwi
- 1 large pear
- 3 sprigs curly parsley

So that's it! A whole week of wonderful smoothies. However, it does require some shopping at the vegetabledepartment. I also used the boxes of frozen fruit from the freezer shelf for the fruit. After all, this also makes it easier to obtain the different varieties in all seasons. I felt well filled after drinking the smoothies and did not miss a sandwich at all. Who would have thought that? Because normally I always had breakfast with a bowl of yogurt and cruesli/muesli.
All in all, I thought these two weeks were doable and I'm completely over the smoothies. Breakfast with smoothies instead of bread or a bowl yoghurt is healthy and I didn't feel an empty stomach at all. I will definitely adjust my eating pattern and will definitely make these smoothies more often. The possibilities are endless in that regard. Maybe if I do a whole detox week again, I will write a schedule for you again!
