Attention all sweet tooths, we all want to snack as tasty as possible but actually not too much! These almond flour poppy seed protein balls are the ideal snack for that! We add all kinds of protein-rich ingredients together and roll and fine bliss balls. You store them in a box in the fridge, and then you can enjoy a tasty ball. Nice and fresh because of the lemon juice and lemon zest that we use. Have fun making this protein ball recipe.

Almond Flour Poppy Seed Protein Balls
Did you know poppy seed a good source of proteins is? Of course you have to eat a lot of it, and we don't do that with these balls, but that extra tablespoon of poppy seeds in this recipe gives the balls a small boost in protein each! For this type of poppy seeds, poppy varieties are used that are low in opiates, but if you were to do an opiate test and you have eaten a lot of poppy seeds, it will probably be positive haha... In this quantity it can't do any harm, so don't stress.

- 150 gram almond flour
- 1 citroen - squeezed out / zest grated off
- 3 el honey
- 1 tl vanilla essence
- 25 gram protein powder
- 1 el poppy seed
Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- Squeeze the lemon and use a microplane grater to grate the lemon all around, save the best ones in a bowl.
- Grab the bowl and add the almond flour, zest, poppy seeds, protein powder, vanilla essence, and lemon juice, use your spatula to mix everything together, it may seem dry for a while but just keep mixing.
- At some point you can form a kind of ball with your hands, knead it well and then divide into 12 pieces of about 15 grams.
- Roll into balls and store in a Tupperware container in the refrigerator.
- Delicious bites!
