If you like crème brûlée, you'll like it with it, or just as a drink. We stay in the Italian atmosphere because we use two Italian liqueurs. As the title of this Amaretto brûlée mandarin cocktail indicates: Amaretto, but also Apérol. This will give your cocktail a nice orange color. We give it extra flavor by caramelizing the mandarin nicely in a frying pan.
Amaretto brûlée mandarin cocktail
My kitchen cupboards are full of all kinds of useful kitchen utensils. The same goes for the freezer compartment! For this Amaretto brûlée mandarin cocktail I used those large ice balls.
You can order them online or buy them from a wholesaler. Of course there are many more shapes available! It's always nice to stock up on ice in your freezer for fun cocktail evenings at your home.
You can also serve this cocktail entirely as a mocktail. You can now also find alcohol-free versions for both the Amaretto and the Apérol. This means you can still drive and there will be no hangover…. Decorate the glass with a peel of the mandarin.
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.

Ingredients:
- 1 tangerine
- 90 ml Amaretto
- 60 ml Aperol
- 100 ml Spa red
- 1 el sugar
Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- Cut the mandarin into 2 slices of half a cm thick. Spoon the sugar on the mandarin slices and fry them in the frying pan with the sugar side down for a few minutes. (Note that this goes quite quickly, you don't want the sugar to burn too much!). Remove from the pan and let it cool for a while.
- Put some ice in the glasses and pour 45ml Amaretto, 30ml Aperol and 50ml Spa red into the glass and then place the caramelized slice of mandarin on top.
- Cheers!
Mix it up baby! We're going to mix and shake them out of our sleeve like this:
How about this Classic Italian Negroni cocktail?
Or else this Polish szarlotka vodka cocktail.
But this Virgin rum lemongrass mocktail is also a winner.
