Pineapple syrup lime gin sour

Pineapple syrup lime gin sour: a fresh cocktail

Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

It's always nice when the flavors of a cocktail come together just right. Very often in cocktails a syrup is used as a seasoning, and that is also the case in this case. We will once again make our own syrup that we will use in this pineapple syrup lime gin sour cocktail recipe. Lime has a slightly different taste than lemon and is nice and fresh. That's perfect for the “sour” part of this drink.

To enjoy a good shake, you need a number of basic tools. You can often buy these as a set in a store or online. You will need a jigger (bar measure to measure the drink). A shaker to shake your drink in. Don't forget the strainer and the long spoon, and preferably the right type of glass for the cocktail in question. Don't serve a “high-ball” drink in a martini glass, for example. Or a Margarita in a whiskey glass. You really don't need a complete glass cabinet. But at least make sure you have some suitable glasses.

By the way, you can also replace the gin in this recipe with rum or another type of alcohol, or a non-alcoholic version. It all depends on your preference. This makes the recipe versatile and suitable for different occasions and personal tastes.

For example, if you’re a fan of rum, you can opt for a dark or light rum, depending on your desired flavor. Non-alcoholic alternatives are also great for those who prefer not to drink alcohol. The beauty of this recipe is that you can experiment and customize it to your liking. Try different options to find your perfect version.

Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the cocktail below. Cheers!

Like I said, we mix like crazy here! To give you some more inspiration, take a look at the cocktails below. All drinks can often be made with or without alcohol. So if you want the virgin version, you simply buy the 0,0% version of the drink used. In this case you can replace the gin with 0.0% gin, for example.
