Fancy a tasty salad? Then you should definitely make this! We combine some of my favorite ingredients and make a delicious meal. We season the steak the night before and let it marinate overnight. The next day, fry it in the grill pan with those beautiful stripes on it, cut it into nice strips and then enjoy! This steak with burrata salad is on the table within 10 minutes, so you are ready to eat in no time. Of course, steak is not the cheapest piece of meat, so choose good quality in these steak recipes!

Whether you choose a round steak, an entrecote or a ribeye, you can in principle make this salad with any of these pieces of meat. It just depends on your preference. I can definitely recommend marinating it a day in advance. However, you should sprinkle salt on your meat just before it goes into the grill pan, and let the meat rest for a while before cutting it. Do choose a burrata and not mozzarella because the inside of the burrata is “liquid” and mozzarella is not. You can also finish the salad of your choice, with or without capers, delicious roasted pine nuts, and red pesto. Which of course can also be green!

You need:

Ingredients:

  • 250 gram steak
  • 200 gram burrata - ( 1 ball )
  • 50 gram butter
  • 2 el olive oil
  • 1 el Italian spice mix without salt
  • salt
  • peper
  • 2 el pine nuts
  • 150 gram rocket salad
  • 2 el Red Pesto
  • 16 green olives

Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.

And this is how you make it:

  • Melt the butter in a bowl and let cool briefly. Pour in the olive oil and add the Italian herbs. Mix everything well.
  • Place the steaks in a bowl and drizzle the marinade over them, making sure it is covered on both sides with the marinade. Place covered in the refrigerator and let marinate overnight.
  • The other day, remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature. Heat the grill pan and just before you grill the steak, sprinkle it with salt and pepper. Grill on both sides and then let it rest for a while. Cut the steak into nice strips.
  • Prepare the plates with the arugula, pesto and burrata, which you open and divide between the two plates. Add the steak and finish with the olives and pine nuts.
  • Delicious bites!
