A sandwich cheese for lunch. I think perhaps the most given sandwich in the lunch box. And there is nothing wrong with that at all, but it can also be different. We do that with this hummus sandwich with roasted tomatoes. In times when we have lunch at home more often and perhaps also stretch a little more time for it, this is a welcome change. A hummus recipe is ready in five minutes. Baking the sandwiches and tomatoes also only takes about eight minutes. Which means that you can put a healthy lunch on the table within fifteen minutes. Hummus sandwich with roasted tomatoes
Is there a difference between a vine tomato and a regular tomato? No, they are just bred differently. It only looks nicer when they are still on the truss. And therein lay the success of this tomato. Later on, growers started to develop this so that more beautiful trusses were produced. By the way, do not store tomatoes with other vegetables because they will spoil faster. Say yourself in this hummus sandwich with roasted tomatoes, they look ready to eat!
Hummus recipe
You can simply peel off the chickpea skins and you will get a super creamy hummus. But I'm too lazy for that hassle, my food processor does the job. And honestly, I just don't feel like it. So now you know what goes on in my kitchen. I prefer to remove the skins from the chickpeas as this results in a silky smooth texture to the hummus. Nevertheless, for practical reasons and lack of motivation, I rely on my handy kitchen appliances to achieve the desired end result. In short, I prefer convenience in the kitchen.
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
