I have another delicious bliss ball recipe for you! You can make these cocoa truffles with dates in no time, and they are a bit healthier than the well-known chocolate truffles. Not less tasty, by the way, we have tested them extensively here. Do you see that bird in the picture? Has nothing to do with this recipe at all, other than that the dog walked by with it. I was concentrating on the photography and suddenly out of the corner of my eye I see our beagle Olivia sneaking past with that bird in its beak.
Of course I was shocked because I thought it was real! It turned out to be a decoration bird for the Christmas tree…. I had to laugh so hard at that petrified face of the dog when I yelled "let go" to her and she let the bird fall to the ground. You will experience something to do with food photography at home.
Cocoa truffles with dates
This bliss ball recipe came out of some sort of failure to be honest. I was trying to bake healthier pie crusts but they failed miserably. I wanted to make something different from the “dough” that was left. Throwing it away is a sin. The dough for these cocoa truffles with dates looked a bit like other bliss balls I made before, and it worked perfectly. Even way better than the initial recipe I wanted to make. And so you see, with a little creativity you can make something really delicious.
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
