Camembert quiche with broccoli
There is only one variety of camembert that bears the protected name “Camembert de Normandie” and was introduced in 1983 as an official AOC label. To fully enjoy the camembert, it is advisable to let it reach room temperature first, just like you would with a good bottle of wine. This will allow the inside of the Camembert to melt a little and create the right texture for you to enjoy. For this camembert quiche with broccoli we also add a layer of bacon, which gives even more flavor to the quiche. The quiche is easy to prepare and is a delicious dish to serve, especially in combination with a good glass of wine.
And this is how you make Camembert quiche with broccoli:
-Preheat your oven to 210 degrees.
- Take a pan and put the broccoli florets in it. In another pan, put the potato slices. Boil both al dente. (I cooked them for 10 minutes) Then put in a colander and drain very well!
-Take out your springform pan and butter the rim and bottom with some butter. Take the roll of puff pastry and cut off a piece to cover the bottom with. The rest you cut into strips and you just have a nice edge with that. Press both parts firmly together. Poke some holes in the bottom and the edge with a fork. Then place the bacon slices on the bottom.
- Sprinkle some fresh pepper on the bacon and then place the potato slices over the entire bottom in a roof-tiled manner. Sprinkle some curry powder on top as well.
-Take the drained broccoli florets and place them on the potato slices. Sprinkle some celery salt on it.
-Finally, we cut the camembert into small pieces and divide this nicely over the entire quiche.
-In a small bowl, put the two eggs with the crème frache and beat them together until you have a smooth sauce. Then pour the sauce over the entire quiche.
-Put the quiche in the oven and bake for 10 minutes at 210 degrees. Then lower the temperature to 190 degrees and bake it nicely for 25 minutes.
