hello! The Canary Islands are located in the Atlantic Ocean. It is therefore not surprising that a lot of fish and seafood are eaten. With all the Spanish influence on the islands you will certainly be able to eat paella there, and I made my own version of this. As we learned earlier, they like to eat papas arrugadas, which are salty potatoes with a very spicy sauce. Now I loved your mojo sauce quite a bit and thought it a shame to throw it away.
I was looking for a way to use up the delicious mojo sauce I made. Mojo sauce is a typical sauce from the Canary Islands, made from red pepper, garlic, cumin and vinegar. It is a spicy and flavorful sauce that goes well with many dishes. I thought that rice would be a good base to work with the sauce. And what could be better than a paella with rice? We mix the mojo sauce with fish stock and cook the rice in it until it is soft and creamy.
That is already a delicious dish in itself, but we make it even richer by adding different types of seafood and large shrimps. This way you get a paella with a Canarian touch, full of flavor and color. Get started quickly with this Canarian mojo paella with shrimps!

Mojo pican is the name of this spicy sauce. There is also a green version of it called mojo verde. It contains a lot of peppers and red peppers. This sauce gives the rice a nice color, but also the typical taste of saffron threads. These give an orange color to the broth.
This Canarian mojo paella with shrimps puts the sun on the table, and you can imagine yourself on the islands when you close your eyes. A paella recipe like this doesn't have too many ingredients, but it does have plenty of flavor!
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
