A Caesar salad and especially the "real" original without all kinds of additives is definitely a favorite of mine. The dressing with its own taste, the fairly simple character and therefore also the pure flavors. Now I had a craving for pasta and thought why not make some sort of Caesar pasta sauce? And then with an egg and some lettuce, and that's how a bowl of creamy Ceasar tagliatelle was created. And I can tell you it tasted great! tagliatelle recipe
And this is how you make A bowl of creamy Caesar tagliatelle:
-We'll start with the sauce, this is actually a very simple basic cheese sauce and we add the "ceasar flavor" to it through the rest of the ingredients from the ingredient list.
-Melt the butter in a saucepan first, then stir in the flour. Bake it on a low temperature for about 3 minutes and then stir in the milk with a whisk. This creates a very smooth sauce. Let the sauce cook for a few minutes, then add the rest of the ingredients and stir until the cheese is nicely melted. I have not added any extra salt because there is already salt in the cheese. Leave the cheese sauce on a low temperature.
Making the pasta
Cook the pasta according to the package and cook the egg. Do you like soft then a nice soft egg. Cut the romaine lettuce into strips and place in your bowl.
Cooking pasta is a simple process, but there are a number of steps you need to follow to properly cook pasta. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add salt to taste. Salt gives the pasta flavor.
Add the pasta to the boiling water and stir gently to make sure the pasta doesn't stick together. Let the pasta cook according to the instructions on the package. Usually it takes between 8 and 12 minutes, depending on the size and type of pasta.
Taste the pasta regularly to check that it is 'al dente', which means that it is still firm and not too soft. Note: Overcooking pasta will make it limp and tasteless.
Drain the pasta and rinse it under cold water. This will stop the cooking process and prevent the pasta from sticking.
