What a lot of fun! A Liebster Award for Delicious Bites! This is an online Award for and by bloggers. In this way we put each other in the spotlight. Layla van The Slim Sloeber nominated me and that is of course super nice that another blogger appreciates my site so much. She therefore asked 11 questions about me and my blog, are you reading along?
What is the Liebster Award?
The Liebster Award is a virtual Award for and by bloggers. The intention is to support each other and to introduce you to other fun food blogs. It was really nice that Layla had to think of me. This nomination includes 11 questions to the blogger in question, prepared by the person who nominated you. In addition, it is the intention that I myself choose 5 other bloggers to put in the spotlight and also ask them 11 questions. You can read who I chose at the bottom of this blog.
Layla's 11 questions and my answers to them:
1: Who are you ?
My name is Francine, I am 37 years old and I live in North Brabant. Married to Jaap and mother of Jools. In addition, we have a nice beagle Lilly and we live in a beautiful house on a dike.
2: Who or what makes you happy?
Hmm, that's not that hard of course! My husband and child make me happy, especially the life we have built together is really something to be proud of. And what? I don't have to think long about that either, I love to cook! That makes me super happy when I put a beautiful dish on the table again and everyone can enjoy it.
3: What is your worst quality
Haha that must be because I can be quite impatient…. If I want something, I want it right now… Patience is a virtue, they say, I still have to learn that a bit.
4: What are you grateful for?
I am grateful for the life we have. We're not bad and that's really something my husband and I built together. Work hard, complain little and really go for it together! We've been married 10 years this year and I can't wait for the next 10 and all the years after. (And a Liebster award for Delicious Bites of course)
5: If you could give your 12-year-old “me” one piece of advice right now, what would it be?
Keep believing in yourself, everything others think of you doesn't matter!
6: What is your favorite cookbook?
I don't really have that. For example, I watch a lot of cooking shows, find inspiration on Pinterest or other bloggers. Then I see something I like and make my own dishes with it. Such as, for example Veal stew in tarragon sauce
7: What does your ideal day look like?
That's a day when everything on my to-do list is done haha! Every day is different here at home and I don't have a precise ideal image.
8: What's at the top of your bucket list?
To be honest I don't have one. Of course there are plenty of things I would still like to do. But I didn't make a list that I finish. We live quite structured here at home but also let life come at us a bit. We are flexible if something else comes our way.
9: Did you already know my blog and if so from what?
Yes I already knew your blog! We met at a Foodie event and immediately clicked. Soon I will come to your home for one of my own sections; "The favorite recipe of". So I'm looking forward to that already.
10: How long have you been blogging yourself?
Delicious Happen is only 1 year old this year! The site also went live during our holiday in France. Since then it has been a whirlwind and my blog is also growing enormously!
11: Which blog article did you enjoy writing the most?
Those are the blogs for the "Francine Bij" section. For this section I come to companies and suppliers. They tell me everything about their products and I can see and touch everything. As a result, I learn a lot myself and hope to pass this on to all my followers.
