Well, sports, exercise, wanting to lose weight is not very complicated in itself. Of course you want to keep your muscles and you need protein for that. Now it's a good idea not to always do this with meat. That could be a bit less sometimes. But with what? Try this protein-rich salad with crispy chickpeas. Those little peas are full of protein and are therefore a great addition to your diet! chickpea salad vegetarian
Chickpeas are legumes commonly used in the cuisines of the Middle East, India and other parts of Asia. They are also called garbanzo beans. Chickpeas have a round shape and are light yellow in color. They are rich in protein, fiber and carbohydrates, and also contain vitamins and minerals, such as iron and folic acid. Chickpeas are often used in salads, soups, stews and as an ingredient in hummus and falafel. They are also available in dried and canned form.
I really can't eat them straight from the can, so we first bake them in the airfryer. I already made a very handy recipe for that, which you can find here.
And having lunch like this is not at all annoying! Only the salad is perhaps a bit dry, so I always make a dressing myself. I've had the idea for months to write an extensive blog about it. A kind of basic blog with my dressings that I like to make myself. Time to do that soon! We also eat raw spinach in this salad.
Especially the young leaves are good to use for this. Although it is a green leaf, spinach is also full of carotene. You would expect that at the root. The vegetable dates back to the time of the Persians in the Persian Empire. Nowadays Iran. Only centuries later did the vegetable also reach Europe. Often used as a laxative, this is because spinach contains a high oxalic acid content.
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
