The recipe below is for 4 people. You can of course easily adjust the quantities if your party is a bit bigger. Curry or ketchup both are delicious with this sandwich. Warming up a frikandel bun is very easy. All you have to do is put the bun in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius and heat it for 10 to 15 minutes. Make sure the bun doesn't stay in the oven for too long or it may dry out.

Small or large, these sandwiches are sure to stand out.

The frikandel is a popular snack in the Netherlands and is often served in snack bars. The exact origin of the frikandel is not known, but it is generally believed that it originated in the 50s or 60s. The frikandel is made from a mixture of meat and spices and is usually baked or fried. It is usually eaten in a sandwich or as part of a snack menu, along with other items such as fries and mayonnaise.

This is how you make the frikandel bun:

-Preheat your oven to 200 degrees.
- Carefully cut / chop the frikandels lengthwise through the middle
-Let the 4 slices of puff pastry thaw slowly and cut them in the middle into eight equal parts.
-Place the frikandel on the half slice and spread some sauce of your choice on it, you can wet the edges a little with water. You can of course also make different versions for a change by sticking with the sauce.
