Fresh mango margarita cocktail

Fresh mango margarita cocktail a summer drink in 5 minutes

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

Delicious Happen is of course known for food, we eat something off here at home. But for yet another version of Mandy's blog swap from Mandyandmore I was paired up with someone who to me is mostly known for drinks. The cozy Jody van unusual nice has a very extensive drinks list on her blog. This fresh mango margarita cocktail recipe really stood out for me! Also a little because of her nice glass, but that's besides the point. Making a margarita recipe is super easy, it turns out.

For this margarita recipe I had to stock up on some booze because our cupboard contains a lot of wine and bubbles. For example, I didn't have the main ingredient tequila. And due to a somewhat unpleasant experience when I was young, I didn't drink very often anymore… 😉

The slice of lemon tops it off!

The margarita is a cocktail that belongs to the short drinks. Meant to drink your tequila in a slightly neater way. This maragrita recipe is certainly not the only one because you can vary it endlessly. There are at least four different stories about who mixed it for the first time and for which lovely lady called Margarita…

Stock up on some spirits for a cocktail like this.

This fresh mango margarita cocktail is a nice summer drink that tingles on your tongue. As a bonus, I added some fresh passion fruit with a Himalayan sea salt rim to the glass. That's a lot fancier than licking salt off your hand with your tongue, right?!

Drizzle some fresh passion fruit on the cocktail for some extra flavor.

Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.

  • 1 package of frozen mango cubes
  • 60 ml tequila
  • 30 ml triple dry
  • 1 lime
  • Himalayan sea salt
  • 1 passion

Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.

And this is how you make it:

  • First we make the mango puree, put the mango cubes in your blender with a little warm water. Blend it to a super smooth puree. This amount is probably too much for your cocktail, you can save the rest for a smoothie, for example.
  • Crush a few tablespoons of Himalayan salt in a mortar.
  • Cut off two slices of the lime for decoration, squeeze the rest. Run the rim of your glass through that juice and then through the salt. This gives you a nice salt rim along your glass.
  • Put the tequila, triple sec, the rest of the lime juice, and 100 ml mango puree in the shaker. Shake well and then carefully pour it into the cocktail glasses.
  • Cut open the passion fruit and scoop the pulp onto the cocktails.
  • Delicious drink!
