How often do you eat wraps? They pass by here regularly. Because they are tasty, but also because they are quickly on the table if I don't remember. There are weeks when I have a lot of good ideas for all kinds of recipes and then nothing really comes out of my hands. Lack of time, I ultimately lack inspiration or I had forgotten that essential ingredient at the supermarket. More than once that has been a block of feta. Gamba Tortilla wrap wraps recipe.
It's also a joke at our house that when I say that I've forgotten something, my husband immediately says: “the feta” …. In this case I did not use feta in this prawn wrap with spicy sauce. A nice sauce with it, which could also serve very well as a dip for some tortilla chips.
And this is how you make it:
We start with the king prawns, if you opt for the frozen version you will of course have to thaw them. I was stupid enough to buy half peeled… so I could remove all the skins first! Then fry them in a wok with wok oil and a lot of crushed garlic.
Cut the iceberg lettuce into strips and do the same with the yellow bell pepper. Cut the spring onions into rings. I first halved the red onion and then cut it into wafer thin slices.
The spicy sauce
I can't make it much easier than this: take a bowl with it, add all the ingredients for the dressing, whisk it well and put it in the fridge until use!
