I really like baked sweet potato. Especially if it is well seasoned. The potato is sweet on its own and the turmeric and garam masala compliment that immensely. In this sweet potato recipe we use two Indian toppers. Turmeric is a spice made from the root of the curcuma plant. Its bright yellow color gives a lot of color to your food. This sweet potato recipe can be customized just the way you like it. Want some more spice? Then add some chili powder up. But other vegetables can also be added to this baked sweet potato. Think of bell peppers, or pieces of steamed asparagus. Serve with a nice piece of steak, or maybe a nice piece of fish.

Ingredients:
- 3 sweet potatoes - cut into 6 parts
- 4 shallots - cut into quarters
- 100 gram Feta - crumbled
- 50 gram pine nuts - roasted
- 1 hand cress
From the pantry:
- olive oil
- 1 el garam masala
- 1 el turmeric powder
- salt
- peper
Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- Quarter the shallots, clean the sweet potatoes and cut them lengthwise into 6 wedges.
- Take your pan and place the potatoes in it, generously pour olive oil over it and sprinkle the spices on top and toss so that the potatoes are coated all over. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place the shallots between the potatoes and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 35-35 minutes until the potatoes are soft/cooked.
- Toast the pine nuts briefly in a frying pan until golden brown.
- When the potatoes are cooked, take them out of the oven and sprinkle over the feta, cress and pine nuts.
