Shrimp cocktail with salmon roll
I made another nice video, part of a triptych for Christmas. A menu that is easy to make and feasible for the home cook. No sweating for hours in the kitchen but fun and tasty recipes. For this appetizer I chose a classic with a twist: Shrimp cocktail with salmon roll. We prepare the sauce in this dish ourselves and you can easily make it one or two days in advance. And this is how you make this appetizer Shrimp cocktail with salmon roll:
-We first make the sauce, if you first prepare everything in bowls it is easy to mix and you are sure that you do not forget an ingredient. Take a bowl with it and add all the ingredients for the sauce in it and mix it all together until you have a nice whiskey sauce. -Take the iceberg lettuce and cut it into nice fine strips, you can wash them for a while and dry them well in a salad spinner.
- Cut the lemon into quarters and remove the seeds.
-Then take the salmon slices and spread them with the cream cheese, and then roll them into a nice roll.
- Finely chop the curly parsley and set it aside.
Finally, take the glasses and fill them first with some iceberg lettuce, then a few tablespoons of shrimp. Carefully pour in some whiskey sauce and garnish with the salmon roll and some fresh curly parsley.

- 1 krop iceberg lettuce
- 1 citroen
- 1 bush fresh curly parsley
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons whiskey
- 1 teaspoon Worcertershire sauce
- 1 pack smoked salmon
- 1 tray cream cheese/boursin
Herbs and spices
- 1 knife point cayenne pepper
