Easy does it! And so is this shrimp casserole with olives. In the summer you can put the baking tray on the BBQ, in the winter you can simply put it in your oven. If you like easy and want to get to the table quickly, this is another ideal dish. The potatoes in this dish are boiled baby potatoes. In other words Pommes Parisiennes. In France, potatoes are seen as a vegetable. The popularity of the potato is due to the Parisian pharmacist Antoine Parmentier. Shrimp from the oven
As a prisoner of war in Prussia, he was fed only potatoes for two weeks. To his great surprise, no one got sick or malnourished. Then he won a competition to come up with a solution to the famine in 1769. His answer was: eat potatoes! He has promoted the potato all his life and even has a recipe named after him. Potato plants still bloom every year on his grave in Paris to this day.
And this is how you make the Shrimp casserole with olives:
- First cook the potatoes with some salt in a pan for 15 minutes. You can already buy pre-steamed corn cobs, if you have raw cobs boil or steam them in about 15 minutes.
- Bake your baking pan and put all the ingredients in it. I halved the potatoes and cut the corn on the cob into small pieces. Because the corn on the cob is already cooked, you can easily chop them with a knife.
- Season the vegetables and shrimps with the herbs of your choice and drizzle some olive oil over them. Toss everything well so that there is a layer of olive oil all over.
-Place the baking tin in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes, until the shrimps are nice and pink. As I mentioned, you can also put your entire baking pan on the BBQ. Then make sure you do this on a baking pan that is intended for a BBQ. And the same applies here: fry until the shrimps are nice and pink and toss them occasionally with tongs.

Finally, remove the baking tin from the oven and shovel everything on a nice dish, before serving sprinkle some fresh parsley on it. This dish can of course serve as a main course or as a nice dish extra with a delicious BBQ, in any case it is!
