Bell pepper is a type of vegetable that belongs to the nightshade family and is grown in a variety of colors, including red, yellow, green and orange. Peppers can be prepared in various ways, including roasting, frying, grilling or adding to salads and vegetable preparations. They can also be filled with cheese, rice or meat and are a popular addition to many European and Latin American dishes.
And this is how you make the stew:
- First let the stews come to room temperature.
-Clean the shallots but leave them whole. Remove the grilled bell pepper from the pot and cut it into fine thin strips, we use all the vegetables from the pot.
-Then smear the stews with the persillade. Persillade is a kind of spice mix, but despite that we also use the other spices. Sprinkle with the jars also some pepper, garlic powder, red paprika powder and rub the pieces of meat well with your hands.
-Take a large, heavy-bottomed frying pan and heat a good dash of butter in it. On a high temperature fry both sides of the stews well browned for about 3 minutes per side, the whole kitchen already smells good!
-Then remove the pieces from the pan and cut them into a number of coarse pieces, put them back in the pan and now add the grilled pepper pieces, stir and add 3 cleaned shallots.
- Take half a liter of lukewarm water and pour it into the pan and crumble the boullion cube over it. Then pour a dash of white balsamic vinegar into the pan and now the stewing can begin: 3 hours on a stew.
When the 3 hours is up:
- Leave the pan on the stove. In the meantime, cut and chop the mushrooms, yellow and green p and add it to the pan together with the rest of the shallots, then let it stew for another hour.
- Boil the rice.
- Then take a colander and a large bowl and scoop the meat and vegetables from the pan in it and let it drain. Make a paste of the 3 teaspoons cornflour with some cold water in a small bowl and pour this into the pan with the remaining liquid.
- Stir this well. The sauce will now bind, when this is done put the meat and vegetables back in the pan. Let it simmer for a while.
Grab a few tasty bowls or plates. Spoon in the rice and the stew with vegetables
