A table full of delicious snacks, that's what everyone wants, right? Especially now that we're heading towards New Year's Eve. Many of my recipes can be prepared in advance, so you won't have any hassle on the day itself. Perhaps just heat them up or serve them in nice containers like in the photo. We seasoned these meatballs with tzatziki with oregano and minced meat spices. But of course you are free to make other choices. Choose something that goes well with the dill in the Tzatziki recipe.

Meatballs with tzatziki
The boats for these meatballs with tzatziki are an essential part of the presentation. The options for obtaining it are extensive. Although I bought them from wholesalers, they are also easily available online and you can even find them at stores such as Action or Hema.

If you prefer more sustainable options, you could also consider second-hand shops as a great choice. That way, you give the boats an extra chance at a new life, and you might bring joy to someone else with beautiful finds that would otherwise be lost, which is also good for the environment.

Delicious with a fresh sprig of dill! Not a fan of dill? Then you can also use parsley. These herbs give a refreshing taste to your dish. Whether you go for the subtle aniseed flavor of dill or the spicy, fresh taste of parsley, both herbs provide a delicious addition to your meal.

Below is the full recipe with ingredients. Have fun making the recipe below. Delicious bites!

Ingredients:
- 500 gram half and half chopped
- 4 el bread-crumbs
- 1 ei
- 1 el minced meat seasoning
- 1 el dried oregano
- 1 twig fresh dill - for decoration
For the tzatziki:
- 250 gram Greek yoghurt
- 2 el olive oil
- 1 teen Garlic
- 1'' tl vinegar
- peper
- salt
- 1 cucumber
Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- Grab the cucumber and peel it, then cut it through the middle. Grate out the seeds with a spoon. Then grate the two halves with a coarse grater. Put it in a colander and let it drain well, if necessary push the moisture out with the convex side of a spoon. (or put in a tea towel and squeeze the moisture out).
- Grab a container and add the yogurt, a dash of olive oil, pepper, salt, the crushed garlic clove and a small dash of vinegar. Mix this together and add the cucumber last. Mix the whole and then put some cling film over it and put it away in the fridge until use.
- Put all the ingredients for the balls in a bowl and knead with your hands into a large ball, then make small balls, slightly larger than a soup ball.
- Bake the balls and then put two on a skewer.
- Place the skewer in the trays that you have filled with a teaspoon of tzatziki.
- Delicious bites!
