Ten reasons to eat tomatoes more often

Marinated tomato feta salad

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

It is worth writing out the recipe for the photos alone. I think the power is mainly in the dressing in this marinated tomato feta salad. Because you don't need more than tomatoes and feta. Talking about a basic recipe, isn't it? Of course I advise you to choose good products. Really good ripe tomatoes and real Greek feta. And preferably organic unsprayed fresh herbs. Here in the kitchen there are anyway a number of jars with herbs on the windowsill. The basics such as basil, chives and parsley, all classics that we use in this tomato salad.

In the dressing we put a crushed clove of garlic.

For this delicious tomato salad it is important to use good products. I like to choose organic products and vegetables that have not been sprayed with pesticides. I know that they are a bit more expensive than the "regular" food you find in the supermarket, but I think it's important to eat as pure and healthy as possible. The best thing is of course to make this salad with tomatoes from your own garden or balcony. They don't need much space, just a small pot and some string to support them.

Add a few leaves of fresh basil when you serve it.

When I was still living in Rotterdam, I gained experience myself with growing tomatoes on the balcony. It is really not difficult to do and it is also very satisfying to harvest your own tomatoes. Unfortunately, you can't do that all year round, but only in the summer. Therefore, I would definitely recommend it if you have the chance. Moreover, you can also put a few pots with fresh herbs to accompany your own vegetables. They give your salad even more flavor and aroma.

The feta also soaks up the flavor of the dressing.

Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
