So we come to the end of the week and it is time for this week's cocktail. We are moving in an autumnal direction with warmer flavors such as cinnamon, pumpkin spice, ginger and fig. This week we are making a ginger beer fig syrup gin cocktail. We also add gin and this time we don't have to shake it but we can just pour it out.

Ginger is a flavor that you may or may not like. I'm not really crazy about it myself. But if you are a fan of ginger beer, then you should definitely try this one. The fig syrup is an addition but not necessary to make this cocktail. So if you don't feel like it, you can leave it out.

This ginger beer fig syrup gin cocktail can also be made with spirits other than gin. You can also choose bourbon or vodka. The homemade syrup can be stored for a while in the refrigerator. So definitely use it for other things than just this drink!

Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the cocktail below. Cheers!

Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.

And this is how you make it:

  • Place all the ingredients for the syrup in a pan and bring to the boil. Let the mixture simmer gently for about 20 minutes. Then strain through a fine sieve and pour into a glass bottle. This is your syrup.
  • Place the honey on one bowl and the pumpkin spice on another. Dip the rim of the glass in the honey and then in the pumpkin spice. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour a tablespoon of syrup per glass, 40 ml of gin, and top up with the ginger beer.
  • Place a slice of fig on the glass and serve.
  • Cheers!
