These types of snacks are therefore ideal for the holidays. Now an amuse-bouche with eel is not necessarily very cheap. Smoked eel is, of course, an expensive product. But at Christmas we usually spend a little more than usual. That is why an eel appetizer should be possible. I served this smoked eel appetizer with rye bread on very nice appetizer dishes. Anyway, I love all kinds of tableware. But these bowls have a special story. They come from Zeeland and are made of tin. I got them as a gift from Suzanne van Anovi. She makes the most beautiful mussel cutlery! And also all kinds of other beautiful fish-related products. Ideal for setting your most beautiful table and surprising your guests.

An amuse-bouche is a snack that you eat to wake up your tongue a little before dinner. This smoked eel amuse certainly does! The soft avocado cream also complements the sweet beetroot and smoked eel perfectly. I made a smoked eel recipe before. There the main ingredient was a grilled scallop. Because it is a fairly pricey fish, we don't eat it here every week.
An eel can grow up to a meter long. Unfortunately, the survival of this magnificent fish species is currently under serious threat. Fortunately, numerous projects have been initiated to prevent the extinction of the eel. This special fish is mainly eaten smoked and is known as a true delicacy. With its oily texture and unique taste, the eel tempts many gourmets. So enjoy this culinary treat to the fullest!
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
