New Year's resolutions? I don't do that....
It's 2023! Happy new year to you all! A little recap from my previous blog:
“The key, as always, is 'balance'. For myself, that means that on the real holidays I can eat sweets, but on the other days I don't let myself be tempted. At least, that's my intention."
And how it actually went…
Fortunately I have self-knowledge, and I already took a hit with the last sentence. I'm sure you understand. I have enjoyed the pleasures of life all December. In other words, to put it more simply, everything that was loose and stuck and with every holiday I stuffed my hollow tooth. From pepernoten (of course not only the regular, but also the chocolate, truffle and coconut flavours), to pastry letters, fries, meat, wine, cheese (lots of cheese), gourmet dishes and Christmas wreaths. I loved December! The best thing is that I enjoyed about every drink evening extra under the guise of 'We can do so little because of Corona'. Thinking back, I think I drank 10x more than a normal December month. Who was I kidding, huh 😉. So there was no balance, but I did enjoy it. We only live once, don't we! If I didn't use the corona excuse, it was 'just that nice December month'. By the way, I was still shouting this on January 3rd. Hmm… Time for change!
Healthy spicy breakfast granola
For this month I have a super easy recipe that I make almost every month. I choose to eat as few carbohydrates and sugars as possible, but I really like a crunch and bite in my smoothie bowl or yogurt. Most granolas often contain a lot of sugars. Honey is also a form of sugar and too much of such products is ultimately not good either. That's why I like to make this delicious 'granola'.
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
