We have discovered that you can make very tasty new recipes with leftovers from other dishes. Throwing food away is such a waste! If you consider how much energy and effort goes into the production of your food. It starts, of course, with the seed that goes into the ground. All the next steps that follow until it is actually on the counter or in the fridge at your house are so many. And to think that sometimes we throw something in the container very carelessly. Well-filled sauerkraut oven dishes
Actually, you should dive into your freezer, take a critical look at your pantry and then make a weekly menu. Because how much meat do you have left in the freezer? How many packs of pasta or rice do you have in your cupboard? And which vegetable is there in your fridge that really needs to be used now….. Perhaps if you let your creativity go wild, you suddenly come up with a delicious new recipe.
A simple cheese sauce or red sauce is made in no time! For these well-filled sauerkraut casseroles I used leftover cranberry sauce, and the puree and cheese were also in the refrigerator waiting for me to reuse them. With very few resources you can have a nice new dish. This saves money and prevents food waste. Nothing has been thrown away, which is both sustainable and budget-friendly.
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
