Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

For me, the 2019 Christmas dinner is really a menu with many Christmas classics. And when I leafed through my recipes, I saw that I do have a nice variation on stewed pears, but not the "regular" version at all! So it's high time to write down my recipe for delicious spicy Christmas stewed pears here. By the way, making the pears is not very complicated, it just takes some time to let them stew so that the flavors are absorbed well. Which of course means that you can make these pears a day or two in advance! No stress on the day itself, just take it out of the fridge, warm it up and serve. cooking stewed pears

If we are talking about a classic, then the stewed pear is one! Pears have been around since prehistoric times. The exact origin can no longer be determined, but the first pears were bred in Central Asia. Through immigration, crusades, and monastic monks who cultivated them in abundance, the pear gained a place in Europe and has become a valuable piece of fruit. So much so that there are quite a few proverbs that use the word pear.
