What a weird summer we've had so far! The weather is all over the place, one day you can have a nice bbq in the garden, the next day it's hail. Fortunately, all measures were lifted last month and the world opened up a little bit again. The events are starting again, we can go to the restaurant and there are plenty of great collaborations coming up. You as followers also have nothing to complain about with all kinds of beautiful giveaways. Today we will announce a winner in this Delicious Happen Newsletter June 2021.

Delicious Happen is going out again
Fortunately, we can and can go out again! I was invited to various fun events and was able to test a lot of nice places for you. For example, I visited boutique hotel Flora Batava in Nieuwersluis. That hotel is located next to the Vecht with a beautiful garden and a nice restaurant. A bit hidden in the green heart of the Netherlands. There was also the Tomato Times Challenge event in the tomato greenhouses in Westland. For this I made a very nice breakfast cruffin with tomato. Zeeland was also visited for a beautiful Fruit de Mer lunch at the point of Zeeland in Kamperland. I can recommend everyone to travel to this beautiful province and enjoy all these Dutch treasures from the sea.
Our Southern neighbors invited me to discover the real Peruvian kitchen at Mama Sara's garden. She has a pop-up restaurant in her garden all summer, just across the border with Belgium. She lets you taste ceviche, pico sour and many other fine snacks from Peruvian cuisine. And last but not least, I was in Amsterdam several times for a nice walk along the tastiest Italian restaurants. Invited by the Chamber of Commerce of Italy, we got a nice tasting. July also has some nice surprises in store, so be sure to follow the stories on Instagram. I'll take you behind the scenes in a moment.

What was cooked in June?
Well enough I can tell you and you also went to work with it. Here are a few toppers from the past month that we briefly highlight. Of course I'm very curious about your creations of my recipes so leave messages, send me pictures on Instagram or Facebook and I will re-post them!
The aubergine rolls were a real hit! I understand that this is a really nice dish.
The zucchini roll also hit like a bomb, what a sweet and nice response I got to this.
But you also thought the empanadas were a delicious snack and have already been made in abundance.
Looking forward to July
The last weeks of school, for my daughter the end of her primary school career… She is almost on vacation. I myself have to wait a while for that. But we are definitely leaving, our beloved France is on the schedule. There are also a few very nice collaborations coming up for which I can develop great recipes. And knowing this profession, there will also be a lot of last-minute happening… plenty to look forward to!
