Those Italians, they know what's tasty! That's what I like about that kitchen. The dishes are often very simple, but have a lot of flavor. This homemade tuna pizza with tomato sauce proves that again. With a base of homemade dough, that delicious Aromatica Pizza Sauce and a few toppings on the pizza. Is there a rule that you can't eat it every day? This pizza recipe is not complicated at all. You just need a little time for the dough to rise. It probably won't surprise you that my pantry has a good amount of pizza sauce... making pizza dough
Mutti tomato sauce products
As I mentioned before, I have a pantry full of Tomato Puree, Polpo, Passata, and cans of Mutti Pizza Sauce. They have two versions of this. The Classica, and the Aromatica with herbs. I like the latter best because it also contains oregano and basil.
For an extra tasty pizza. But did you know that you can also just use the pasta sauces or even tomato pestos?! This way you can vary and serve a different pizza every time. My mouth is watering again... making pizza dough

Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- Take your kitchen mixer with dough hook and put all the ingredients for the dough in the bowl. Mix the dough for 10 minutes. Remove the ball from the shell and place it on a piece of baking paper sprinkled with some flour and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Cut the ball into 4 equal parts and roll into nice tight balls. Place them back on the baking paper lined with flour and cover with a damp tea towel. Let the bulbs rise for an hour at room temperature.
- Preheat your oven to 250 degrees, including your pizza stone! (If you have a wood-fired pizza oven outside, a BBQ, or a small pizza oven, heat it in the appropriate way for these devices).
- Sprinkle some semolina on your counter and shape a nice flat pizza from one pizza ball with your hands. Spread with the Mutti pizza sauce and sprinkle with grated mozzarella, tuna, bell pepper and olives.
- Use a pizza shovel to scoop the pizza from the counter, then quickly slide it into the oven. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and top with some more torn burrata and some fresh basil leaves.
- Delicious bites!
