And this is how you make the Kippedij with fuet in wine sauce:
-First preheat your oven to 200 degrees
-Take a heavy-bottomed frying pan and add some olive oil. Fry the chicken thighs until nice and golden brown on all sides and then place them in your oven dish.
- Then chop the onions and garlic cloves. Remove the skin from the fuet and cut it into small cubes. Put these in the frying pan and fry until the fuet softens a bit and releases its fat. Add the bacon and let it cook for a while. Then put it on the chicken thighs in the baking dish.
-Pour the wine into the baking dish and crumble the stock cube on top. You can optionally add some water-free so that the thighs are nicely submerged. Season with some salt and add the fresh thyme sprigs.
-Place in the oven for about 25 minutes and then add the crème frache. Stir this through the oven dish so that it becomes a nice smooth sauce. Then leave it in the oven for another 5 minutes.
-In a clean frying pan fry the pine nuts very briefly until they are nicely browned. Add it last to the baking dish.
