There are those dishes that you quickly end up with if you just want to put something on the table. This chicken thigh in Mediterranean cream sauce is a good example. Because who doesn't like a nice piece of meat in cream sauce? A dish like this that looks a bit nice in the photo is quite a challenge. At least the sun helped to make it look well lit. By the way, posting a recipe like this does give some comment. And then it's not about whether it was tasty or not, but what the pan looks like. Yes people can only worry about it. chicken thighs recipe
I want to talk about the brown film that sometimes remains on the bottom of the pan. Some people think this layer looks dirty and have told me to clean the pan better before taking a picture… I always find that a weird comment to get. I don't let such negative reactions fool me, I'd much rather hear from you how you enjoyed the dish!
Chicken thigh in Mediterranean cream sauce
A tasty chicken thigh recipe like this one is not complicated at all and is also relatively quick on the table. Also very good to keep if there is still something left. For example, you can warm it up for lunch the next day. I always try to eat warm here, but because of the photography I sometimes miss it.
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.

And this is how you make it:
- Cut the bacon slices into pieces and fry them crispy in the frying pan. Then take them out and set them aside on a plate.
- Fry the chicken thigh cubes in the bacon fat and a little olive oil, season with some pepper, salt and garlic powder. When they are golden brown and cooked, remove the cubes from the pan.
- Fry the onion and garlic in the remaining fat in the pan for a few minutes. Pour the stock and cream into the pan and bring to the boil. Add the spinach and sun-dried tomatoes and let the spinach wilt.
- Meanwhile, cook some pasta, such as orzo.
- Add the Parmesan cheese, chicken and bacon and mix well. If the sauce is still too thin for your liking, add a paste of a tablespoon of cornflour and a tablespoon of water, and possibly some extra Parmesan cheese.
- Delicious bites!

There is no pasta in the shopping list.
That's right, because that's not in this sauce, you make it yourself. But that can also be rice or baked potatoes, but just what you like. Gr Francine
Really delicious and simple. A lust for the eye. Tip: use less salt than you think you should use when preparing this recipe. You can always add but take out.
Hi Tom, salt can indeed be added to taste. In any case, there is salt in the cream and cheese so you can indeed add it at the end to taste. Gr Francine
Bizarrely delicious
