Chicken thigh in spicy butter sauce

Chicken thigh in spicy butter sauce

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

There are already quite a few recipes with chicken thighs on my site. I personally like this piece of meat better than the chicken fillet. Some people worry about the fat that is on the meat, but that just gives it more flavor! If you fry them properly, the meat will melt away in your pan and it will give your dish just that little bit more flavor. In this case we first bread the thighs before we fry them. This chicken thigh in spicy butter sauce has a spicy touch because we add red jalapeño peppers to the sauce. Read on quick!

Do you like a little spice in your food? Then the red jalapeño pepper is for you! This pepper is the ripe variety of the green jalapeño, and has a sweeter and sharper taste. The red jalapeño is delicious in combination with chicken thigh, because it gives the meat an extra kick.

I served this dish with some pasta. For example, you can opt for orzo, but gnocchi or even spaghetti, but potatoes would also be fine. Delicious with a salad and then you can enjoy as if you were eating in a restaurant.

Ingredients:

  • 500 gram chicken thigh
  • 1 jalapeño pepper - cut into rings
  • 3 toes Garlic - XNUMX onion - shredded
  • 2 el capers
  • 15 green olives
  • 1 el oregano
  • 400 ml chicken bouillon
  • 4 el flower
  • peper
  • 2 twigs fresh basil
  • 3 el olive oil
  • 50 gram butter

Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.

And this is how you make it:

  • Sprinkle the chicken thighs with some pepper on both sides, then dredge them in the flour on both sides so that they have a layer of flour all over.
  • Heat a frying pan (or frying pan) and add a dash of olive oil, place the chicken thighs in the pan and fry them on both sides until golden brown. (so done). Then remove them from the pan and set aside on a plate.
  • Add the butter to the pan and let it melt, add the jalapeño, garlic, capers, oregano, and green olives and fry for a few minutes. Deglaze with the stock and stir with a wooden spoon. Is the sauce not thick enough for you? Then add a little extra flour.
  • Put the chicken thighs back in the pan and let it braise in the sauce for a while, also spoon it over the meat in the pan.
  • For example, serve with some orzo, but a boiled potato is also possible!
  • Delicious bites!
