Time for a classic, because as the saying goes "you know classics", well that certainly applies to this drink. The Italians love bitter drinks. Just think, a good doppio (espresso) is of course quite bitter. And an Aperol spritz is also characterized by its bitter aftertaste. This classic Italian Negroni cocktail consists of three different types of drink. And of course we finish it with a slice of orange. By the way, you can let your creativity loose on this, cut nice figures out of it to give your glass extra fun. A delicious negroni cocktail recipe.
Classic Italian Negroni cocktail
The Classic Italian Negroni cocktail comes from Florence. But there is also a Dutch version called the “Dutch Negroni”. The gin is replaced by Jenever. The Negroni consists of equal parts, so you pour the same amount of each type of drink into the glass. It is best to use a “jigger” for that. A special measuring cup that should not be missing in your home if you often make cocktails.
