Cooking with small children: to do or not to do? The kitchen is the center of our home. Besides sleeping hours in bed, this is by far the most time spent. With two children aged 3 and almost 2, that is sometimes quite a challenge. They also have their own small play kitchen, so they can practice themselves. But watching mom is always the most interesting. Especially if you can help make this colorful breakfast cake with oat flakes. Then it will be eaten with pleasure for breakfast! breakfast pie oatmeal cottage cheese
Help in the kitchen
The purchase, in that area, of the year was certainly a so-called Learning Tower. This is a tower that you can attach to the kitchen counter, so that children can watch what you are doing. I got this from my dear friends in the 1e lockdown for Maison's birthday. What an invention! In the morning while getting dressed, the battle starts for who can stand first in the tower. They fit in together. Because of this tower they regularly come to me when I am cooking.
Watching is also eating along!
Vive is now at the age where she wants to know everything. This makes it very nice to let children discover new products. Together we made a chili with lots of colored vegetables. Normally she wouldn't eat it that fast, she's not a very easy eater. But because she was allowed to put the peppers in the pan and taste the corn herself, there was a greater chance that she would try her own dish.
Because if there's one thing that's tricky, it's getting little kids to eat healthy! By applying a lot of variation in color and making everything look like a cake, pizza or cookie you really go a long way. breakfast oatmeal
