Making it is very easy, you just need some time.

Fields full of kilometers of cabbage, a picture I can see here in the area. It is one of the oldest types of cabbage. They are on the same field for two years on average because it is a biennial crop. This cabbage is full of Vitamin C. If you eat it raw, only in small amounts.

I have a cupboard full of beautiful bowls for my food photography.

A red cabbage recipe is often eaten with red meat or game dishes. I have to admit that I don't make it very often. But once in a while during the winter I put a nice big pan on the fire. The longer it stands, the softer the cabbage will be. And because of this, the spices also give off their flavor better.

I really enjoy preparing this savory dish. It's a delicious combination of flavors and textures. I often add some sautéed onions and apple pieces to spice it up even more. The recipe is simple, but with the right ingredients and a little patience, the red cabbage becomes soft and full of flavor.

Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
