This recipe is super easy, but it will take you a little more time. The Greek yogurt that I used for this Labneh the savory yogurt dip with nuts has to drain. Just put it in the fridge in the morning, do your daily things and in the evening you scoop it on a plate. And then it's only a matter of minutes before you can dip!

How to Make Labneh Yourself: The Recipe for Savory Yogurt Dip with Nuts and Za'atar
Lab wate? If you've never heard of labneh or just don't really know what it is, I'll tell you briefly here. It's actually a kind of hangop. Drained Greek yogurt, Turkish yogurt is also allowed, mixed with some salt and then dressed with olive oil and other tasty herbs, spices and, for example, fruit. It has its origins in the Levant.

The Lebanon-Syria-Turkey region, here it is served as a side dish to the mezze. These are various small bites, a kind of tapas. Et voilà super simple, super tasteful and actually fits very well with a tapas table / mezze table but also a bbq.

Ingredients:
- 500 gram Greek yoghurt
- 3 gram salt
To dress the labneh on the scale:
- baguette
- olive oil
- pomegranate seeds
- olives
- mixed nuts - chopped
- fresh mint - a number of
- za'atar spices
Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- Take a bowl and place a sieve on top. Line the sieve with a clean tea towel or cheesecloth (make sure the cloth does not touch the bottom of the bowl). Scoop the yoghurt into the cloth. Sprinkle 3 grams of salt on top and gently stir this through the yoghurt. Twist the cloth closed (or tie it together with kitchen string) and put the bowl with the sieve in the fridge. Let it sit for at least 4 hours, or overnight for a firmer labneh
- Scoop the labneh from the cloth onto a plate and pour some olive oil on it.
- Decorate the bowl with the things you like, for example from the list above.
