Traditionally, we go on holiday every year with my best friend and her family to the Ardennes. A week of quality time together, lots of good food, nice wines and now 3 girls who enjoy playing together. A good recipe for a nice holiday. I always take care of the cooking (apart from the BBQ) and everyone enjoys that. The advantage of this is that I can cook and finally not even have to do the dishes or clean up because that's what everyone else here does. Everyone likes pasta, including this linguine recipe in cream sauce with prawns. linguini

By the way, it is still quite a challenge to cook on a ceramic hob, especially if you are used to working with gas at home. It can take some getting used to, because the temperature and the cooking process are different. But with a little patience and a lot of fun at the table, while you wait for the food, you can come a long way.

Linguine in cream sauce with king prawn
Linguine is the plural of linguina which means tongue. It is a type of pasta that is flat, and not round like spaghetti. It is a bit thicker than spaghetti and so you will have to cook it a bit longer. In this recipe I use dried basil, but you could also use fresh basil. Unfortunately I did not have this in stock in our holiday home, but it tasted great! linguini

Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
