A piece of toast is also just a toasted sandwich that we season even more in this recipe. This way your sandwich gets a fantastic taste experience from “top to bottom”.
And yes I agree, just sinking your teeth into this sandwich will be a challenge. If the original BLT actually only has bacon, lettuce, and tomato between its toast, we add extra vegetables with this sandwich! What's in it? A delicious sandwich
Actually, a BLT toast is a very nice basic recipe to experiment with yourself. For example by using different sauces like I did. Because of course mayonnaise is super tasty, but there is so much more! Like the Harissa I used in this luxurious American BLT sandwich. Note: the mild version of that, because a normal Harissa is quite spicy!
Can actually be compared with a sambal or hot sauce. Not for people who, like me, are easily “on fire”. So making this BLT sandwich with eggplant is not complicated at all. Ingredients:
- 4 to stick brood - ( optionally )
- 4 to stick bacon
- 1 mature tomato
- ½ avocado
- handful rucola salad
- 4 to stick Eggplant
From your pantry
- 2 tablespoons harissa
- 2 toes Garlic
- olive oil
- 50 gram flower
- ½ I panko breadcrumbs
- 1 ei - knocked loose
- persillade spice mix
Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- Cut 4 slices of bread from an unsliced loaf. I bought a bake-off bread. Cut the garlic in half and brush it over the bread. Drizzle some olive oil on top and bake them in an oven at 200 degrees. A minute or eight.
- Take two bowls, put the egg in one bowl and beat it. In the other bowl, put a layer of panko, the flour and season with the persillade herbs and mix well. You can also choose spices that you like.
- Cut 4 slices from an aubergine. Dip it first in the bowl with the egg, then in the panko mix, so that there is a nice layer around the eggplant.
- Heat a frying pan and fry the bacon slices. Then wipe the fat from the pan with a paper towel and add some olive oil. Fry the aubergine slices on both sides until the crumb layer is a nice golden brown.
- Spread two slices of toast with some harissa.
- Start with some arugula, put the aubergine slices on top, then some slices of avocado, tomato, bacon and cover with the second toast. Repeat again for the other bun.
- Delicious bites.
