Ok it's Friday again, time for a nice fresh drink! Again you can serve this lychee mint lime cocktail with or without alcohol. Fresh lychees are only available during a certain time of the year. We buy them in cans for this drink. We also use the juice or syrup they are in to shake with! You will need a muddler for this recipe. That is a special cocktail pestle that you use to mash the mint leaves.
Lychee mint lime cocktail
The alcohol in this drink is gin, but you could also use rum or triple sec. Do choose a transparent color so that your drink in your glass remains nice and fresh in color. I always drink flavored sparkling water. This time Spa lemon, but regular spa or even 7-up would also work. So you see that you can easily adapt a cocktail and play with the various ingredients.
We choose lime because it is slightly more acidic than lemon. Lime is used in many cocktails. You can also place a disk on the edge of the glass if you wish. In addition, lime adds a refreshing taste to drinks and provides a subtle citrus aroma.
The zesty citrus properties of lime provide a perfect balance between sweet and sour in cocktails. So if you're looking for a fruity twist in your drink, lime is the ideal choice.
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
