Cauliflower is actually a bit of a boring vegetable, right? Fortunately, it is one of my daughter's favorite vegetables, she likes to eat it without sauce, just with a little salt on it. I think that's just a bit too simple, so we make this Margherita cauliflower steak. A tasty slice of cauliflower that we dress up as a Margherita pizza. Super simple, very tasty and not complicated to make.

You won't use the whole cauliflower because we don't need the sides. Of course, you don't throw these away, use them in a soup. There is a very nice soup recipe for that at the bottom of this blog. Plenty of variation options by the way. The sauce, the herbs, the cheese, you can replace it all with something else and make it completely to your own taste.
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you enjoy preparing the dish below. Delicious Happen!

Ingredients:
- 1 whole Cauliflower - cut into 4 slices
- 150 ml pasta sauce
- 75 gram grated Parmesan cheese
- 10 green olives - finely chopped
- 1 el persillade spice mix - (or Italian spice mix)
- olive oil
Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- Preheat your oven to 175 degrees.
- Cut the cauliflower into slices, you will not use the outsides, you can save these for a cauliflower soup. I got 4 slices from one cauliflower.
- Place the slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush them on both sides with some olive oil. Divide the spice mix over the cauliflower. Place in the oven for about 25 minutes until the cauliflower is softer.
- Remove the entire tin from the oven and spoon some pasta sauce onto each slice, spreading it with the rounded side of a spoon. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese and chopped olives on top and place in the oven on grill setting.
- As soon as the cheese is nicely melted and golden brown, remove it from the oven and sprinkle with some fresh basil if necessary.
- For example, serve with a burrata salad and then enjoy delicious snacks!
