During our holiday on Fuerteventura we stayed in an all inclusive hotel. Don't cook at all for a week, and just enjoy and sit down. In the evening a drink at the bar, and in this case often a cocktail. A lot of rum is made, and honey rum is the drink of these islands. They also donated a delicious mojito cocktail and I wanted to make this at home. A delicious mojito recipe.
This passion fruit mojito recipe deviates slightly from the original by adding the passion fruit juice. I was a fan right away!
And making a mojito is not complicated at all I can tell you. You do need two specific things, namely a muddler and a jigger. That's one of those small measuring cups that looks like an hourglass.

You can also make a virgin version of it by using alcohol-free rum. You really don't just have to drink a cocktail like this while going out, you can also do it very well at home.

- 45 ml rum
- 90 ml sparkling water
- 15 ml lime juice
- 15 ml passion fruit juice
- 2 tl cane sugar
- 2 twigs fresh mint
- crushed ice
Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- The quantities mentioned above are for one glass.
- Put the lime juice with the passion fruit juice and the cane sugar in the glass , add some mint leaves and mash with the muddler .
- Add the rum and sparkling water and fill the glass with crushed ice and a wedge of lime. Stir briefly.
- Serve with a sprig of mint.
