I was once in the Dominican Republic. There I fell completely in love with the passion fruit. They were on the fruit buffet and were the size of tennis balls! Since then I eat them often and I also use them a lot in my smoothies. But you can also use them well in cocktails, such as with this passion fruit triple sec sour. Sweet and sour, this drink has just the right balance. The beautiful protein foam head makes it complete. If you don't like that, use aquafaba (the liquid from a can of chickpeas).
Passion fruit triple sec sour
Triple sec is an aromatic and spicy liqueur with a full orange flavor. With an alcohol content of approximately 30%, it is a versatile drink of which non-alcoholic variants are now also available. Whether you prefer a virgin cocktail or the traditional version, make sure to shake well and enjoy every sip. Cheers!
Triple sec is a strong liqueur. It tastes like orange and has an alcohol percentage of about 30%. You can choose this version, but there are also alcohol-free versions of this drink nowadays. So whether you go for a virgin or the regular version, just shake and drink.
You do need an authentic shaker for this refreshing drink. However, if you do not have such a shaker, you can use two glasses. Make sure one glass is slightly smaller than the other and “slide” them into each other. It is important to keep a good grip with your hands, so that the glasses do not accidentally fall apart...
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
