TikTok alert! I saw this recipe on that very popular platform and thought I could make a better version of it. And why better? Well, I thought it was quite basic and actually lacked some flavor. For example, I didn't see any herbs or other seasonings being added. So I went into the kitchen and made a spicy pasta spinach salmon dish. So the preparation remains the same as the basic oven pasta dish recipe I saw, we just add more herbs and some spice!

You can basically use any type of pasta with this spicy pasta spinach salmon dish. This time I used pasta made from lentils. But it can also be macaroni or butterfly pasta. As long as there are no strings because that doesn't mix very well. Do you want it extra spicy? Then add another tablespoon of sriracha. Guaranteed flames in your mouth...

- 400 gram frozen spinach
- 350 gram salmon steaks with skin
- 50 gram samphire - chopped
- ½ Spanish / chili pepper - finely chopped
- 250 ml cooking cream
- 1 el capers
- 1 el Persillade (spice mix)
- 150 gram pasta
- salt
- peper

And this is how you make it:
- Grab your oven dish and preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
- Place the frozen spinach cubes on the bottom. Sprinkle the finely chopped red pepper, capers and chopped samphire on top. Place the salmon steak on top and sprinkle with the persillade. Finally, add the cooking cream and place everything in the oven for 25 minutes until the salmon is done.
- In the meantime, cook the pasta in a pan with water and some salt. Drain this.
- Remove the dish from the oven and separate the cooked salmon with a fork and stir through the spinach. Add the pasta and stir everything together well again. Serve immediately.
