Provencal grilled Toulouse sausage

Provencal grilled Toulouse sausage

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

There are workhorses and there are luxury horses, that's how the saying goes, right? I may be a bit of both, because of course I like to have a bit of luxury on holiday, but the work also continues! By the way, that's no punishment because I always enjoy cooking with local products. First score everything at the market or in that gigantic supermarket and then get to work. You have to eat on holiday and the quality in the tourist areas is often not the best. This year I wanted to make Toulouse sausage on the plancha grill. We have that at our house and that offers possibilities! And since we are in Provence, the Provencal grilled Provencal cuisine Toulouse sausage recipe

Making Toulouse sausage
Bake à la plancha, so on a grill plate.

Provencal grilled Toulouse sausage

Typically something from the Toulouse region, fresh sausage, made from pork, salt, pepper and about three inches thick. It is usually sold in a spiral. We make this Toulouse sausage on the plancha grill, a flat grill, and we use all the ingredients at the same time. The sausage needs to bake a little longer than the vegetables, so we'll add these later. Of course, the Provencal herbs cannot be missed.

Lots of garlic and a little red pepper.

I also used my favorite parsley in this Provencal grilled Toulouse sausage. If you don't have a plancha grill, it can also be made on a tepan yaki, or flat grill plate. I always take a small one with me on holiday because you never know what you will find on the spot.

Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.

You need:

plancha grill / grill plate

Ingredients:

  • 1 sausage - Toulouse
  • 300 gram roseval potatoes
  • 1 Red pepper
  • 6 shallots
  • 1 Spanish / chili pepper
  • 4 toes Garlic
  • Provencal herbs - fresh

Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.

And this is how you make it:

  • Turn on your grill and let it get hot.
  • Boil the roseval potatoes for about 15 minutes, if they are large you can halve them.
  • Chop the peppers, clean and halve the shallots. Chop the red pepper, do not use the seeds. Chop the garlic cloves.
  • Put a little bit of olive oil on the plate and place the sausage on it. Grill the sausage on both sides, alternately.
  • Then add all the vegetables and fry them for a few minutes.
  • Finally, add a handful of chopped fresh Provencal herbs and then you can serve it.
  • Delicious bites!
