Autumn is just around the corner. Time for pumpkin, and you can drink it as well as eat it! Yes, we are going to use pumpkin puree in a cocktail. We are making a recipe pumpkin spice espresso martini. You know the well-known “EsMa” but then dressed in an autumnal jacket. Make sure you have the right glass and of course a shaker, and then you can get started. We will also make the puree ourselves, another blog will be online for that. Pumpkin spice cocktail
Pumpkin spice espresso martini
The espresso martini is decades old and a true classic. This cocktail has several variants and this pumpkin spice espresso martini is a nice variation. Of course, pumpkin fits perfectly into this season and I enjoy working with it. By the way, nowadays it can actually be had all year round. Its popularity has also made the grower think.
In this cocktail I used Kahlua. But you can also use another “creamy” liqueur. Take a look at what you have in your liquor cabinet. The fun part about making cocktails is experimenting with different ingredients and flavor combinations. If you don’t have Kahlua, you could try Baileys, or maybe a homemade coffee liqueur if you happen to have some. Also, don’t forget to keep an eye on the balance between sweet and strong.
Optionally, you can add a dash of vanilla extract for an extra dimension of flavor. Use a pretty glass cocktail shaker to mix everything together, and serve the cocktail with a few ice cubes to keep it nice and cold. Garnish with a sprig of mint or a slice of orange for a festive touch.
Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the cocktail below. Cheers!
