This recipe is not from my sleeve, but I liked the pictures I shot of it so much that I had to put it on my site. Because say yourself a beautiful picture sometimes really makes your mouth water. My work is getting better and better through a course and help from other photographers. Of course the food has to taste good, that's the most important thing. And this creamy gnocchi with smoked salmon was a hit. This gnocchi recipe is one of the Boerschaps. I've worked with them twice and it's been great. Making these gnocchi was certainly not a punishment. Prepare gnocchi with salmon and cream sauce

Creamy gnocchi with smoked salmon

The pronunciation of gnocchi can be confusing. Some people say "knotsjie" but it is "Njokkie". And thicken it up a bit with an Italian accent and you'll have a mustache. I have never made gnocchi myself because I secretly think it is way too much work. You can also easily buy them from the fresh aisle in the supermarket. s

Not a fan of dill? Parsley also goes perfectly with it.

You need:

Ingredients:

  • 300 gram gnocchi
  • 250 gram fresh peas
  • 1 Red onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 150 gram smoked salmon
  • 250 gram spinach
  • fresh dill
  • 125 ml crème fraîche

from the pantry:

  • olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon French mustard

Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.

And this is how you make it:

  • Chop the onion and finely chop the garlic clove and the dill. Cut the salmon into strips.
  • Take the frying pan and add some olive oil. Fry the gnocchi for a few minutes and lower the heat, then add the onion and garlic.
  • Place a pan with water on the stove and boil the peas for about three minutes, drain and rinse with cold water.
  • Add the spinach to the gnocchi and stir until the spinach has wilted.
  • Mix the crème frache with the dill and mustard, adding some pepper if necessary. Spoon this mixture over the gnocchi.
  • Mix everything together and then add the peas.
  • Grab your plates and finally place the salmon strips on top of the gnocchi.
  • Delicious bites!
