Ingredients:
- 120 gram flower
- 3 eggs
- 1 tl baking powder
- 200 ml milk
- ¼ tl salt
- 1 el beetroot color powder - for sale at Van Beekum
Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- Place all ingredients (flour, eggs, baking powder, milk, salt and beetroot red colouring powder) in a large mixing bowl. Mix with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth and fluffy. The more beetroot red you add, the more intense the pink colour will be
- Heat your frying pan and add a dash of sunflower oil. With a small soup spoon (I use an old-fashioned gravy spoon) you scoop the batter into the pan, turn the batter with the convex side to about 10 cm in diameter.
- Fry the pancakes on both sides until light brown (about 2-3 minutes per side). Do not put the heat too high to keep the beautiful pink color. Turn them over as soon as bubbles appear on the top
- Repeat until all batter is used up.
- Serve with, for example, a scoop of cottage cheese, chocolate sauce, powdered sugar and strawberries.
- Delicious bites!
