And this is how you make the Saffron rice salad with raisins:

- Take a pan and put a liter of water in it. Bring to the boil and add the two saffron threads. When you put them in you will immediately see that the water starts to color. The longer you leave it, the yellower the water will become. When the color is to your liking, remove the strings and add the rice and cook according to the instructions on the pack.

-While your water turns yellow, soak the raisins in some warm water in a small bowl.

- Chop the onion and peel the apple. You can also cut these into small cubes. Then take a frying pan with a little olive oil and fry the onion until translucent. Add the green peas and drained raisins and heat through. I used peas from the dirtier. These simply thaw while you're baking it.

- Drain the rice and return to the pan. Add all the ingredients from the frying pan and mix everything together. Season with some salt if desired.
