Actually, you're getting a two-in-one recipe from me. The salad has been on my to-cook list for a while, but it is of course a bit lacking as an evening meal. I got some flatbread from my pantry and some ground beef from the freezer. And so this shirazi salad with flatbread was on the table. A very simple meal but with a lot of taste. The fresh salad goes perfectly with the spicy garlic sauce and the seasoned minced meat.

Shirazi salad with flatbread

The Shirazi salad is a salad from Iran. Very simple, cucumber, tomato, red onion and some mint. Seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice and possibly some salt and pepper or sumac. A salad like this is best kept aside in the fridge. The flavors will then absorb well, especially with the chopped mint. It gives it an extra fresh taste.

Out of convenience and also because I often have it in stock, the flatbread comes from the supermarket. Especially if you don't feel like cooking but still want to eat well. Like now, grill some minced meat, add garlic sauce and enjoy! The ras el hanout gives the minced meat a slightly sweet taste and, with some chili oil, also some spice.

Below is the full recipe with ingredients. Have fun making the recipe below. Delicious bites!

Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.

And this is how you make it:
